HCA Healthcare, Inc. at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville seeks a Unit Secretary for Neuro MedSurg on Day shift. You will create a welcoming, organized space, manage patient records, and coordinate communications to support care teams.

This role requires prior experience in medical settings, comfort with medical terminology, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. CPR/BCLS within 30 days is expected, with a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in physician office, clinic or hospital preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology beneficial.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment required.
• Positive demeanor with ability to work with little supervision but also thrive in a team.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and guiding patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, offering updates, and ensuring they feel informed and supported.
• Maintaining patient records accurately, entering physician orders, and protecting patient information.
• Handling all communications between incoming calls and care team members promptly and clearly to keep the unit connected.
• Keeping the environment clean, organized, and well-stocked to promote safety and comfort.
• Taking initiative to solve challenges, support daily operations, and foster a culture of respect and teamwork.
