Position Summary:
Provide clerical and secretarial services to the nursing unit assigned.
Education/Knowledge/Skills:
Successful completion of a unit secretary course is required. Must be able to read with comprehension and write legibly. Must be proficient in use of proper grammar. Must have knowledge of:
Experience:
Secretarial or clerical experience is desired. Previous hospital experience is desired.
Licensure Certification:
Certification in basic life support (CPR) may be required when the unit secretary works in a department where he/she is subject to assignment as a first responder to a cardiopulmonary arrest victim.
