Position Overview

This position involves performing clerical activities to support patient care units, including reception duties, medical record management, scheduling, and communication with staff and patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve as unit receptionist, direct patients and visitors, answer calls, take messages, and refer issues appropriately.
  2. Use pneumatic tube system, communicate via intercom, and coordinate specimen transport.
  3. Transcribe physician orders, enter data into systems, and utilize downtime procedures as needed.
  4. Manage medical records, prepare charts, and ensure documentation accuracy.
  5. Schedule patient appointments, coordinate transportation, and prepare necessary documentation.
  6. Maintain census data, manage admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  7. Maintain supplies, equipment, and work area organization.
  8. Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus specialized training.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
  • 3-12 months of relevant experience.
  • Effective communication and multitasking skills.
Additional Details
