Job summary

Baptist Health Hardin is seeking a dedicated Unit Secretary for 3 North Tower Medical Surgical, part-time, 7a–7p, Saturdays and Sundays. You will perform clerical and receptionist duties for the nursing unit and coordinate patient flow under the Charge Nurse.

Duties include admissions, discharges, and transfers paperwork, sending and receiving messages, and scheduling tests and physician follow ups to support smooth patient care and unit operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Unit Secretary to join our team at Baptist Health Hardin. In this role, you will be responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties for the nursing unit and coordinate patient flow under the direction of the Charge Nurse. Performs clerical duties as related to admissions, discharges, and transfers. Send, receives, and communicates telephone messages to the appropriate persons in a timely manner. Coordinates patient appointments for testing and physician follow up Prioritizes work to meet patient care and unit needs.
