Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary for the Intensive Care Unit on night shift. You will work under the supervision of a nurse, performing delegated patient care tasks and routine unit maintenance on a 16-bed medical ICU.

The role requires BLS for Healthcare Providers; prior Nursing Assistant experience is preferred. A high school diploma or CNA is acceptable but not required. We offer competitive salaries and benefits.

Job Duties

Job Duties: We are seeking a Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary who under general supervision and according to established procedures functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.

About the Unit

About the Unit: The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for a variety of critically ill patients, including those with: stroke; sepsis; shock states with or without multi-organ failure; and respiratory failure.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience required.
• High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
