Job summary

Rolling Hills Health & Rehab is seeking a Charge Nurse to direct, administer and record resident care in a Kansas facility. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care plans and communicate with physicians and families.

The role requires a valid Kansas nursing license, English proficiency, and flexibility to work additional hours and emergencies. The ideal candidate will oversee staff performance, ensure timely administration of medications, and maintain compliance with state and federal

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Kansas nursing license in good standing.
  • Must read/write/speak English.
  • Must be able to work beyond normal hours including weekends/holidays.
  • Must be able to assist in evacuation during emergencies.
  • Must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
  • Must use transfer/gait belt when assisting residents and lifting objects.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, administer and record care given to residents.
  • Supervise nursing staff and coordinate care per care plans.
  • Communicate with residents' families on progress.
  • Assist visiting physicians during rounds as needed.
  • Assist in dining and feeding residents as required.
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal requirements (infection control, etc.).
  • Ensure medications and treatments are administered as ordered and on schedule.
  • Replace nursing staff who call in sick and provide care when staff are short.
