Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. seeks an experienced Charge Nurse to direct, administer, and record resident care in our Kansas facility. You will supervise the nursing staff, coordinate care per care plans, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role requires a valid Kansas nursing license, strong communication with families, and the ability to work outside regular hours as needed. You will support physicians, assist in rounds, and help ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Kansas nursing license in good standing.
• Basic computer skills required (read, write, and understand English).
• Ability to work beyond normal hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Direct, administer and record resident care; supervise nursing staff on the unit.
• Communicate with residents’ families regarding progress.
• Assist visiting physicians during rounds and with rounds.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; ensure timely delivery.
• Replace nursing staff who call in sick and support staffing needs.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal requirements including infection control and safety policies.
