Job summary

Brighton Post Acute Care is seeking a Unit Manager for full-time daytime hours (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM) in Boston, MA. The role oversees nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensures safe, person-centered resident care while aligning with our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence.

Responsibilities include leading nursing staff, coordinating care, incident reporting, and participating in committees.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active MA license as LPN or RN.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of nursing experience.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.
