The Unit Manager must be a licensed LVN or RN in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing, bring strong clinical skills, and be able to multitask and respond to emergencies while guiding care plans and documenting care faithfully.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed LVN or RN in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for resident-centered care.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
• Effective communication and collaboration with others.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate systems that support the delivery of quality resident care.
• Resolve resident care issues and family concerns in a professional, timely manner.
• Implement and evaluate nursing procedures aligned with unit programs.
• Make clinical nursing diagnoses and guide care plans accordingly.
• Perform nursing assessments to monitor resident health status.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation per company policy and regulations.
• Step in for general nursing duties in emergencies or during staffing shortages.
• Use electronic medical records and demonstrate basic computer proficiency.
