Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor to coordinate the administration and clinical activities across designated shifts within the facility.

The role requires a NYS RN license, graduation from an accredited RN program, and at least 3 years of clinical experience including long-term or sub-acute care, with supervisory experience preferred. Competitive rate and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN program is required.
• NY State RN license is required with CEU yearly.
• CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the administration and clinical activities for the nursing department on a designated shift or unit.
• Serve as a resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making, and delegate responsibilities.
• Participate in assessments of residents and validate nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participate in development and communication of residents’ plan of care.
• Make rounds to ensure nursing standards are followed and residents’ needs are met.
• Monitor documentation procedures and escalate issues to the Director of Nursing.

Educational Requirements: Graduation from an accredited RN program required.

Experience Required: 3 years of experience with one year of long term or sub-acute care experience required. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required: NYS RN License. Compliance with yearly CEU requirements. Current CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy certification.

Administrative Functions

1. 1. Coordinates the administration and clinical activities for the nursing department on a designated shift or unit.
2. 2. Serves as the resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making, delegates responsibilities to staff.
3. 4. Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
4. 5. Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
5. 6. Making frequent rounds on nursing unit(s) to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met
6. 7. Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing

Personnel Functions

1. 3. Cooperates with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to assure that services are properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
2. 6. Meets with staff on regularly scheduled basis to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/ or improvement services.
3. 8. Ensures that disciplinary action is administered fairly and without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or marital status.
