Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Unit Clerical Associate on our patient care unit to support the care team and improve workflow.

You will coordinate patient chart documentation, process orders, verify forms, and disseminate information on the unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This role emphasizes strong customer service, organization, and timely communication to support patient care and unit efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred; Previous patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred; Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/gather all documentation related to the patient chart.
• Provide clerical support under the direction of the Registered Nurse and in collaboration with other members of the patient-focused care team.
• Process orders, verification of forms for accuracy and completeness and dissemination of information on the unit.
