Job summary

Avita Health System in Ohio seeks a Unit Clerk/Patient Care Assistant (UC/PCA) for the Emergency Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. This role supports patient flow, prepares records, and coordinates information between patients, families and staff. Required: high school diploma and current BLS.

Preferred: STNA/Paramedic/EMS certification. You will follow physician and nursing directions and provide basic nursing care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date required.
• STNA certification or Paramedic/EMS certification preferred.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Unit Clerk/Patient Care Assistant (UC/PCA) to join our EmergencyDepartment at our Ontariolocation.

Position Overview

Meets the communication needs of the patient, family and staff. Prepares and compiles records in the facility. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff. Provides basic nursing care to Emergency Department patients. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and facility policies and procedures and standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date.

Preferred:

• STNA Certification or Paramedic or EMS Certification.
