Qualifications

• High school diploma with college/business coursework preferred for this clerical role.
• Experience with medical terminology and transcription is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provides secretarial support to the nursing staff as needed.
• Delivers new admission chart to unit and initiates forms for admission.
• Faxes physicians' orders daily.
• Delivers faxed printouts to the appropriate department.
• Maintains medical records per policy.
• Answers telephones, directs calls and takes messages.
