Riverfront-Rehabilitation-and-Healthcare-Center is seeking a Unit Clerk to provide clerical and secretarial support to the nursing department, manage medical records, and transcribe physician orders for the unit. The role requires high school graduation with college/business coursework; experience with medical terminology and transcription is preferred.

Responsibilities include admitting residents, handling phone calls, processing charts, and coordinating with staff to ensure smooth unit

Qualifications

• High school diploma with college/business coursework.
• Experience with medical terminology and transcription preferred.
• Able to read, write and understand English.
• Strong communication and typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides secretarial support to the nursing staff as needed.
• Delivers new admission charts and initiates forms for admission.
• Answers telephones, directs calls and takes messages.
• Maintains medical records per policy and schedules chart audits.
