Job summary

Mercyhealth in Wisconsin seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care across units. You will process orders, charges, and documentation while answering calls and guiding visitors, ensuring a clean and safe environment in line with standards and shift routines.

Hospitals’ teams expect flexibility to float between units and participate in improvement activities; CPR/BLS must be obtained within 90 days. 24 hours weekly, day shift.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program; advanced CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training.

Responsibilities

• Processes orders and patient charges in a timely manner.

Schedule: 24 hours per weekShift: Day shift 6am-6:30 pmESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcesses orders and patient charges in an accurate and timely manner.Answers the telephone and call lights in an appropriate and timely manner, providing information or relaying messages to patients and staff.Directs visitors to patients' rooms.Maintains medical records of current patients.Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking, and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures according to CNA job duties and expectationsDocuments care provided according to standards.Maintains a clean work and patient environment.Floats to various units based on identified needs.Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.Verifies accuracy of charges enteredFacilitates a welcoming environment assisting with visitor wayfinding.Assemble patient folders and charts for unitRauland responder/Vocera/versus set up for new staffEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCECompletion of a CNA program.
