Job summary

Tempur Sealy, a global leader in bedding products, is seeking a Unit Build assembler in Denver. You will work in pairs to lift encased coil spring mattress assemblies (40–50 pounds), glue foam perimeter pieces, and assemble hybrids on a unit cart. Opportunities to support other departments during busy periods are available.

Payrate is $21.95/hour with a standard 8-hour shift. Ideal candidates multitask with care, maintain detail, and meet day-work rates while standing or sitting for long periods.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated multitasking with attention to detail.
• Requires very good hand eye coordination.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, repetitive job.
• Must be able to be trained to achieve Measured Day Work rates.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assembles mattresses and hybrid toppers in teams of two, moving 40–50 lb components.
• Glues foam perimeter pieces and stacks units for staging.
• Assists within other departments as needed during high demand.

Job Description:

A Unit Build assembler works in teams of two people. Two of them lift an encased coil spring mattress assembly (40-50 pounds each) from the floor to place it into the waist high table. The semi-rigid foam pieces which are pre-cut are inserted in the perimeter of the spring and are hot glue together. In addition, the Unit Builder will also need to assemble and Glue Hybrid Toppers on the Hybrid cell, sock stuff, close and stage the Hybrids onto a unit cart. If needed, the Unit Builder would also assist within unit build and other departments in 1st shift depending on personnel shortage and high demand.

Payrate: $21.95/hour

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail.
• Requires very good hand eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at a fast paced repetitve job.
• Must be able to be trained to achieve Measured Day Work rates.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a standing and sitting position for a minimum 8 hours or more per shift.
• Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, bending, etc.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
