Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Unit Build assembler to work in two-person teams assembling and prepping mattress components. You will lift heavy parts, glue foam and toppers, and stage completed units for shipment. Training will be provided to meet Measured Day Work rates, with a focus on accuracy and speed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lift encased coil spring mattress assemblies (40-50 pounds each) from floor to waist-high table.
• Assemble and glue semi-rigid foam perimeter pieces and toppers.
• Glue Hybrid Toppers on the Hybrid cell and stage units onto a cart.
• Assist in unit build and other departments as needed on 1st shift.

Job Description:

A Unit Build assembler works in teams of two people. Two of them lift an encased coil spring mattress assembly (40-50 pounds each) from the floor to place it into the waist high table. The semi-rigid foam pieces which are pre-cut are inserted in the perimeter of the spring and are hot glue together. In addition, the Unit Builder will also need to assemble and Glue Hybrid Toppers on the Hybrid cell, sock stuff, close and stage the Hybrids onto a unit cart. If needed, the Unit Builder would also assist within unit build and other departments in 1st shift depending on personnel shortage and high demand.

Payrate: $21.95/hour
