Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. is seeking a Surgical and Procedural Services Educator to provide clinical leadership and educational programs across OR, PACU, Pre-op, PAT, and related services.

The role partners with nursing management on performance improvement and policy development to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes. The Educator leads staff education, onboarding, and competency assessments, supporting preceptors and mentors while coordinating ongoing education programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years clinical specialty area experience.
• Minimum 2 years charge experience.
• AORN Perioperative 101 Course Instructor - preferred.
• Current Mass RN License and BSN.
• Masters degree preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical expertise across specialty areas.
• Leads education programs and staff development.
• Assesses staff competency and assigns learning needs.
• Coordinates onboarding for new physicians and staff.
• Plans and evaluates orientation, in-service and continuing education.
• Collaborates with leadership to implement policies and improvements.
