Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Surgical Unit Technician I for the Day shift (FT, 40 hours). This role supports the unit under supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

No call or weekend shifts, with a comprehensive benefits package and tuition benefits for eligible staff. Minimum qualifications include healthcare experience and strong communication skills to interact with staff, patients, families, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/urgent situations and to follow established procedures.
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors, and other hospital employees.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: Minimum 17.07/hour - Maximum 19.81/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
