Job summary

Women In Need (Win) seeks Security Guards to protect residents, staff, visitors, and volunteers in our New York City facilities. This unionized position reports to the Security Shift Supervisor and requires vigilance, clear communication, and adherence to protocol.

Responsibilities include supervising access, fire safety, and incident reporting. A NYS Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR/AED certification are preferred, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NYS Security Guard License.
• 2–3 years of experience in social services or residential settings.
• Willingness to be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, visitors, and volunteers.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and report violations.
• Conduct monthly fire safety and extinguisher inspections.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and respond to crises following Win protocols.
• Maintain security logs and complete incident reports.
