Job summary

Pave Talent and our client are seeking a Production Supervisor for a high-volume beverage plant in New Jersey. You will lead a 15–20 person union crew across one shift, ensuring on-time schedules, adherence to the contract, and real-time KPI tracking.

Responsibilities include line efficiency, changeovers, maintenance coordination, GMP compliance, and safe daily operations with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Five or more years supervising a manufacturing production line.
• Experience on beverage, food or other fast-paced packaging lines.
• Proven leadership in a unionized environment.
• Able to work off-shift hours, including nights and weekends.
• Strong problem solving with a track record of process improvement.
• Maintenance or quality control experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the shift's production schedule on plan, with every production work order processed on time and any delay flagged to logistics early.
• Lead the crew: manning schedules for the regular week and overtime, labor coding for payroll, attendance, performance reviews and development.
• Administer the union contract and plant work rules, including discipline when it is needed.
• Hit efficiency goals with breakage under 0.25 percent and raw material loss under 1 percent, watching syrup yields, bottle loss and low-fill rejects.
• Run flavor changeovers on time, with the right product and materials and minimal downtime.
• Work with shift mechanics and maintenance leadership on repairs, preventive maintenance and recurring line issues.
• Quality on the shift: Good Manufacturing Practices, inspection and process logs, product holds and defective material handling with quality control.
• Safety on the shift: monthly area inspections, PPE, safe operating procedures and immediate incident reporting.
• Keeping raw materials flowing with logistics and the warehouse (just-in-time deliveries, FIFO, accurate inventory transactions).
