Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Service Apprentice Tech to support preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical HVAC systems in Western Wisconsin, near Tomah. The role emphasizes direct on-site customer interaction and solutions that improve building efficiency, with mentorship for peers.

The position requires a union affiliation, relevant HVAC education, and 1+ year of industry experience.

Qualifications

Must join or be a member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry.
Vocational School four-year program or an associate degree in mechanical systems, HVAC or related field.
1+ years of industry experience or servicing mechanical HVAC systems.
Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, and installation/servicing techniques.
Strong interpersonal and professional representation of Johnson Controls.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical HVAC systems.
Troubleshoot and solve building inefficiencies on-site with customers.
Provide on-site recommendations and quotes to support improvements.
Document service activities and results clearly in required records.
Mentor peers on mechanical HVAC installation and service tasks.
