Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer in Cleveland, OH, to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and production equipment across facilities. You will help ensure energy efficiency, safety, and minimized downtime while performing inspections and repairs with multi-skilled expertise.

The role requires 4+ years of technical building engineering experience, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; relevant work experience accepted.
• 4+ years of technical building engineering experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• HVAC universal CFC recovery certification required or within 90 days.
• Preferred: familiarity with Word and Excel; trades apprenticeship in electrical/HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems.
• Operate and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing, and related building components.
• Inspect facility interiors and exteriors, including walls, floors, lighting, and fixtures, reporting conditions affecting occupancy.
• Complete hazard assessments; comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
