Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is hiring a Union Facilities Mechanic / Building Engineer for the 2nd shift at our Ridgefield, CT campus. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure operations on a premier pharmaceutical campus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities maintenance, building engineering, HVAC, or related trades.
• Experience maintaining commercial or industrial mechanical systems.
• Current CT D2 or S2 license.
• Experience troubleshooting HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience using a CMMS preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on building systems.
• Maintain and repair commercial building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond to maintenance requests.
• Inspect facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Document maintenance activities in a CMMS.
• Ensure safety procedures, GMP requirements, and operating standards are followed.
• Repair or replace belts, bearings, valves, pumps, motors, and related components.
• Assist with operation of chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, pumps, and steam systems.
• Collaborate with other trades to maintain campus operations.
