Job summary

Milton Rents in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Class A Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our service team. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment with emphasis on diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems, reflecting a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Significant experience repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, or similar machinery.
• Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience in equipment rental or construction preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and own tools.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and serve as a resource for other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety/functionality testing.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical information.
• Train and provide technical guidance to other technicians.
• Assist customers with equipment operation and troubleshooting as needed.
• Accurately complete work orders and service documentation.
