Milton Rents in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Class A Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, with focus on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics to keep customers operating.

This union position offers a pay rate of $41.14 per hour, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience repairing heavy equipment or construction equipment.
• Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience in equipment rental or construction preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and own tools.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and safety.
• Ability to work independently and mentor other technicians.

Overview

Milton Rents is seeking an experienced Class A Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our service team. If you're a skilled technician with advanced knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics, we want to hear from you.

Pay Rate: $41.14 hour. This is a union position.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety/functionality testing.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical information.
• Train and provide technical guidance to other technicians.
• Assist customers with equipment operation and troubleshooting as needed.
• Accurately complete work orders and service documentation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, or similar machinery.
• Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience in equipment rental or construction preferred.
• Valid driver's license and own tools.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and serve as a resource for other technicians.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
