Job summary

UG2 LLC is seeking a Union Benefits Auditor in San Francisco to conduct detailed audits of union benefit records, eligibility data, and monthly invoices. You will reconcile data across HR/payroll systems, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and union providers to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, experience with HRIS/payroll/benefits data, and ability to interpret CBAs. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in benefits, HRIS, payroll, auditing, or related analytical function.
• Strong knowledge of union benefits, eligibility, and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to interpret CBAs and apply provisions.
• Advanced Excel skills: sorting, filtering, formulas, pivots, data reconciliation.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, or union databases.
• Ability to analyze large datasets for discrepancies and trends.
• Excellent organization and time management with multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Support for confidentiality with sensitive data.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit union benefits and reconcile across databases and HR/payroll systems.
• Verify membership, eligibility, enrollment, status, and deductions.
• Audit monthly benefit invoices for Pension, Training, Health & Welfare, Dues, and Trust.
• Validate invoice calculations against rates and CBAs.
• Perform roster reconciliations and investigate changes in status and contributions.
• Analyze month-over-month changes and provide variance analyses.
• Identify overpayments, underpayments, and discrepancies in data.
• Document findings and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain audit records and reconciliation schedules.
• Apply CBA language to audits and ensure compliance.
• Support COBRA, ERISA, and related regulation reviews.
• Prepare reports and develop Excel-based reconciliation tools.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to resolve issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Perform ad hoc audits and special projects.
