Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a Union Banquet Server for a part-time seasonal role responsible for supporting events from setup to breakdown, ensuring smooth service at conferences, weddings, and corporate gatherings.

You will participate in banquet events, set up buffet tables, respond to guest inquiries with professionalism, and collaborate with team members to maintain clean stations and timely service. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with on-site perks included.

Responsibilities

• Take service meetings and banquet events.
• Set up and break down buffet or other food service tables and equipment.
• Understand Banquet Event Orders to safely set up and break down events.
• Assist other Banquet Servers with setup and breakdown.
• Provide friendly, professional guest service with knowledge of menu offerings.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and know when to alert a manager.
• Complete prep and side work to maintain an orderly station during events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Position Overview

Union Banquet Server is a part of a team that creates an atmosphere where things happen, from staging parties to business meetings. The Banquet server's role is important to the success of the event.

Responsibilities

• The banquet server will take service meetings and banquet events.
• The banquet server will set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment
• Understand Banquet Event Orders to safely, efficiently set up and break down events using in-room clearing and aisle tray breakdown buffet procedures.
• Help other Banquet Servers set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
• Provide friendly, professional guest service with genuine care. Be familiar with menu offerings in order to entice guests with its ingredients and preparations.
• Respond promptly, courteously and effectively to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns. Know when to alert a manager, should the need arise.
• Efficiently complete prep and side work to enable focused guest care and maintain an orderly, clean station during events.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
