Job summary

Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol is seeking a part-time, seasonal Server to support our Food & Beverage team. The successful candidate will take and serve food and beverage orders, maintain station setup, and ensure a high standard of guest service during shifts that include weekends and holidays.

The role requires at least 1 year of casual full-service restaurant experience, English proficiency, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a food server in a casual full-service restaurant.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English in the workplace.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and a flexible shift.
• Knowledge of laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons.

• Set up stations and tables, replenish and prep for service.”

Shift: 1st; must be available to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Ensures station and table set-ups are complete, replenished, and ready for service at the start of the shift and performs side duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage leadership team. (Buffing glassware, silverware, roll-ups, etc.)
• The Server will accurately take food & beverage orders and serve all food and beverage requests while utilizing a suggestive-selling technique and adhering to service timing standards.
• The server will pre-bus all tables throughout the guests dining service and ensure that tables are cleared upon the completion of the guests’ service.
• The server is responsible for entering guest orders into the point-of-sale accurately, presenting guests with completed guest checks, and for securing/processing proper payment methods.
• Server is responsible for routinely ensuring that the guests experience is satisfactory and for initiating recoveries when presented with guest-issues.
• Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and guest-service equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a food server within a casual full-service restaurant environment required
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and a flex shift if needed
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances and regulations and policy regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons.
