Job summary

Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking an Apprentice Engineer to participate in the Apprentice Program, developing a range of maintenance skills while performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations for the building, grounds, and equipment under supervision of the Chief or Assistant Engineer.

Qualifications

• Acceptance into & successful active participation within the I.U.O.E. Stationary Engineers Local 39 Union Engineer Apprenticeship program
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience with a minimum of one (1) year in area of related field
• Driver's license: CA (AUTO:CA) up hire preferred

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Apprentice Program to develop a variety of maintenance skills, while performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations for the building, grounds, and related fixed and portable equipment under the supervision of the Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Engineer.
• Each day you will complete assigned maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across the facility and equipment while advancing through your supervised program requirements.
