Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA seeks a Lead Biomedical Electronics Technician to assist the Clinical Engineering Manager in day-to-day shop operations, performing repair, inspection, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment within a healthcare setting.

You will ensure equipment reliability and safety while supporting the CE team, communicating with department managers, users, physicians, and staff, and covering for the CE Manager when needed.

Formación

• Associates degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field; equivalent training/certificates accepted.
• 7–9 years of experience servicing technical equipment.
• Driver's license valid in California (CA).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree; CBET, CRES, CHMT certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Uses the AIDET communication principle with patients and families.
• Interacts daily with department managers, equipment users, physicians and staff about service usage.
• Communicates daily with CE Manager and handles all service emergencies.
• Provides coverage and support for CE Manager during absence.
• Maintains life support equipment.
• Provides technical support and assistance to Clinical Engineering technicians.
