Bowhead is seeking a Fabric Worker to join our team at Fort Jackson, SC. This part-time role runs 7:30am–4:30pm, Monday through Friday, focusing on sewing and tailoring military uniforms. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of sewing experience, strong alterations skills, and the ability to measure and fit garments for customers.

Basic MS Office skills are expected. Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance; US citizenship is required due to location.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of sewing or tailoring experience required.
• Familiarity with military uniform standards preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment; able to work alone or as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Insert or eliminate padding in shoulders and taper seams without distorting drape.
• Repair or replace defective garment parts (snaps, zippers, buttons, buckles, pockets, coat linings).
• Shorten or lengthen sleeves or legs and re-sew garments as needed.
• Maintain stock of supplies, equipment, and working area; may supervise sewing operators.
• May be required to work weekends based on workload.
• Assist with RFID cards or inventory tracking if necessary.
• Assist in issuing clothing.
