Unified Communications Test Engineer

Contract Role

Location: Onsite – 5 Days a Week Onsite. - Niles, IL

RedStream Technology is recruiting a Unified Communications Engineer to create and execute test plans for new unified communications products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Masterful Test Planning: Craft detailed, comprehensive, and meticulously structured test plans and test cases.
• Innovate and Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced testing strategies that enhance product development and performance across all UC components.
• Project Management: Lead and manage testing projects to achieve superior outcomes within set timelines, maintaining a results-driven approach.
• Proactive Problem-Solving: Anticipate and address challenges promptly, ensuring project continuity without compromising quality.
• Effective Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts and strategies to your team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader objectives.
• Strategic Execution: Support strategic planning and execution efforts per the department’s objectives, demonstrating a strong bias for action.

Experience and Skills:

1. Unified Communications Experience: Demonstrated experience and expertise in Unified Communications, specifically with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
2. Passion for Quality Excellence: An unwavering dedication to delivering top-notch products.
3. Innovative Problem-Solving: A knack for finding hidden issues and an above-average creative intellect.
4. Outstanding Communication Skills: Clear and accurate communication in both written and oral forms.
5. Self-Driven and Motivated: Ability to take charge from reviewing requirements to delivering the finished product with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 10 years of total experience in quality engineering, system testing, or a related technical field, including about 2+ years in a quality leadership role.
3. Extensive experience with Unified Communications platforms, specifically Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
4. In-depth understanding of UC system architectures, protocols, and integrations.
5. Proven experience in testing and ensuring the quality of UC solutions.
6. Expertise in testing and validating audio quality, camera quality, and video quality.
7. Familiarity with UC hardware and software interoperability issues and solutions.
8. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex UC issues in live environments.
9. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
10. Knowledge of the latest trends and advancements in Unified Communications technology.
11. Experience with agile methodologies.
