Job description

Automation testing is required.

8+ years of experience in QA testing.

Bachelor's degree is required.

This position serves as an expert technical and industry resource to management, clients, and testing staff in new uses of test automation across all phases of system and subsystem development. It involves formulating, contributing to, and directing task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for research, automation prototypes, and proof-of-concept IT activities. The role includes directing and participating in all aspects of test engineering tasks such as test planning, design, architecture, and business architecture. The candidate will provide guidance to staff on complex assignments and mentor on new test engineering technologies.

• Develop guidelines for other software test engineers to help them build and implement test frameworks and automated tests.
• Be a hands-on software test engineer capable of writing quality code, assisting with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and coaching.
• Understand the big picture from a business standpoint within the context of the application.
• Write technical blogs and actively participate in the Open Source Community.
• Coach other software engineers on practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), and pair programming.
• Understand advanced concepts of Containers, Micro-Services, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Integration, guiding the team to establish a DevOps environment for their applications.
• Review application metrics, including code quality, business metrics, and performance metrics, and take appropriate actions.
• Create load and performance testing strategies and perform advanced performance tuning.
