Holman Enterprises is seeking an Assistant Transportation Underwriter to evaluate new and renewal business, process endorsements, cancellations and filings, and maintain documentation in accordance with state and federal insurance laws.
The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with a focus on accurate transactions, deadlines, and ongoing licensing/continuing education where applicable.

JOB INPUTS Assist Transportation Underwriter by evaluating new and renewal business in accordance with established underwriting guidelines Process new, renewal, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, state and federal filings, and new appointments as assigned in accordance with guidelines and state/federal insurance laws. Establish effective diary system to follow up on requested information Maintain thorough file documentation on all transactions Assist underwriting and sales team by identifying any red flags with insureds and/or agents to be addressed Establish consistent and timely communication with team on workload and backlog issues Maintain excellent service standards for all transactions Assist with the implementation of new products and coverages Maintain any licensing and continuing education requirements Identify opportunities to improve guidelines, policies and procedures and provide recommendations Assist with any internal and external audits Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent, a degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred
Working knowledge of insurance; 1-3 year experience preferred
P & C License preferred but not required
Intermediate level of experience in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and function well in a team environment
Proven track record in managing workload and processing transactions accurately and efficiently
Self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
High level of integrity and strong commitment to success
Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
