Job summary

CRC Group seeks a Team Underwriter to evaluate, select, and manage underwriting risks within established guidelines and authority limits. You will underwrite new and renewal business, provide technical expertise, and support coordination across underwriting teams to ensure consistent execution and compliance.

You’ll mentor less experienced underwriters, collaborate with producers and internal teams for timely decisions, and help drive portfolio quality and performance within regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or insurance designation preferred.
• Experience underwriting multi-line or specialty products.
• Ability to mentor team members and drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.
• Manage underwriting workflow from submissions to documentation.
• Monitor production metrics to support portfolio quality.
• Review and resolve underwriting issues to maintain risk accuracy.
• Collaborate with producers and internal teams for timely decisions.
• Provide leadership across underwriting teams and mentor others.
• Guide less experienced underwriters with technical guidance.
