Job summary

American International Group (AIG) is seeking an Underwriting Team Lead in Chicago to guide E&S underwriting, mentor a team, and shape strategy. You will underwrite complex property risks, manage a diversified portfolio, and collaborate with wholesale partners to drive profitable growth.

You will leverage deep CAT modeling knowledge, ISO form understanding, and leadership skills to deliver consistent results while supporting regional objectives and talent development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial E&S underwriting experience.
• Proven ability to lead and direct a team while maintaining a balanced portfolio across primary and excess placements.
• Established relationships within the territory's wholesale brokerage community.
• Prior team leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• Strong knowledge of CAT modeling (OEP/AEP, TvAR, AAL, TCPs).
• Clear understanding of ISO form usage.

Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
