Core Specialty Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Support professional in Scottsdale, AZ. The role provides support to underwriters, assists with endorsements, processes binds, cancellations, and policy issuance.

You will develop account summaries by analyzing loss runs and external sources, coordinate loss-control visits, and prepare reports and presentations. A Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in transportation underwriting is preferred, with strong math, communication, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years underwriting experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, marketing skills and superior customer service.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work in a team and adapt to daily changing needs and duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Underwriters to determine acceptability, quality and profitability of new and existing business.
• Assist in developing insurance proposals, approve endorsements, process binds, cancellations, renewals and obtain underwriting approvals.
• Request and follow up on loss control visits.
• Develop account summaries by analyzing loss runs, MVRs and external sources.
• Prepare reports, presentations and participate in special projects.
