Core Specialty is seeking a Transportation Underwriter support professional in Scottsdale, AZ. You will deliver account summaries to underwriters, assist pricing decisions, and help process endorsements, binds, and cancellations while coordinating with a team to ensure profitability and compliance.

The role involves loss control coordination, data analysis from loss runs and FMCSA sources, and contributing to proposals and special projects.

Qualifications

• Strong math proficiency to analyze data and risk.

• Strong computer skills and aptitude with underwriting systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Underwriters with account summaries to evaluate risks and support Endorsement activity and policy issuance.
• Provide support to Underwriters to determine acceptability, quality and profitability of new and existing business based on underwriting guidelines and objectives.
• Assist developing insurance proposals, approve endorsements, process binds, cancellations, non-renewals and obtain required underwriting approvals where needed.
• Request and follow up on loss control visits.
• Develop account summaries by analyzing and aggregating loss runs, MVRs and external websites such as FMCSA as well as any other pertinent information.
• Performs related duties as required or as requested including report preparation, presentations, and special projects.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the team to broaden knowledge of the product line and/or technical knowledge of pricing.
