CRC Group is seeking an Underwriting Clerk to provide administration and operational support to the underwriting team in Melbourne, FL. You will set up files, enter data in systems, and assist with invoicing and policy issuance to ensure timely service for agents and companies.

The role requires a college degree or related experience, a state insurance license, and at least one year of wholesale insurance exposure.

Qualifications

College degree with a concentration in business or equivalent work experience.
One year of wholesale insurance experience.
State specific Insurance License required.
Underwriting Clerk experience or three years of general insurance experience.
Must understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies.
Must have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating.
Proficiency with Windows, Delphi, Word, DocuCorp, and Rackley ISO Rating Software.

Responsibilities

Set up new and renewal files at binding and verify documentation.
Perform accurate data entry and policy information updates in underwriting systems.
Instruct Underwriting Clerks and Policy Typists for invoicing and policy issuance.
Verify completeness and accuracy of policy data and reports; process per guidelines.
Coordinate with underwriters, agents, carriers to obtain information and resolve disputes.
Prepare and distribute reports as required by carriers or underwriters.
Underwrite new and renewal business with minimal supervision.
Review policy servicing requests and ensure proper invoicing and distribution.
Evaluate policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations and make changes as needed.
