Job summary

PMA Companies in Pennsylvania is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriting Support Associate to provide high level support to the underwriting function. You will assist in preparing new business quotes, policy issues, and rating for new business and renewals with accuracy and meeting targeted due dates.

You will collaborate with underwriters, agents, and staff to coordinate pre-underwriting activities, review applications, and expedite information requests.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in underwriting or similar function.
• Experience working with internal/external clients.
• Ability to maintain professional working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to underwriting by preparing quotes and policy issues.
• Rate, renew, and issue WC and Auto lines as required.
• Coordinate pre-underwriting for renewals and new business submissions.
• Review applications and request additional information from agents or staff.
• Attend team and underwriting meetings and participate actively.
• Meet with underwriter weekly to discuss priorities and deadlines.
• Assist in training new hires and share material with teams.
