Society Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Process & Technology Intern for Summer 2027 at Fond du Lac, WI. The internship provides exposure to underwriting processes, technology solutions, and business operations while supporting analysis, testing, and documentation tasks.

You will learn to analyze data, map processes, and develop deliverables under supervision, with a path to potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
• Willingness to learn technical skills such as SQL, process mapping, testing, and system configuration.
• Prior office experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains underwriting rule, workflow, question, and reference data inventories.
• Converts approved requirements into structured test scenarios and executes supervised testing.
• Validates expected results, documents defects clearly, and supports retesting.
• Analyzes sanitized operational data to identify patterns, exceptions, or process friction.
• Creates and improves process maps, decision records, job aids, and technical documentation.
• Reviews configuration and documentation for completeness, consistency, and traceability.
