Job summary

Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Company is seeking a remote Underwriting Operations Analyst to partner with underwriting leadership on process optimization, technology implementation, and data analysis.

This full-time role focuses on cross-functional collaboration to streamline underwriting workflows, identify bottlenecks, and support vendor implementations and UAT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of P&C insurance experience in underwriting or underwriting operations.
• Proven track record of improving business processes.
• Strong Excel data analysis and reporting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and quality within underwriting processes.
• Analyze workflows to pinpoint bottlenecks and opportunities for automation, coordinating technology enhancements and process improvements.

Job description

Partnering with underwriting leadership to enhance operational effectiveness, the full-time remote Underwriting Operations Analyst will focus on process optimization, technology implementation, and data analysis while collaborating cross-functionally to streamline underwriting workflows.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and quality within underwriting processes
• Analyze workflows to pinpoint bottlenecks and opportunities for automation, coordinating technology enhancements and process improvements
• Serve as the operational liaison among various departments, supporting vendor implementations and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience, preferably in Underwriting or Underwriting Operations
• Demonstrated experience in improving business processes or supporting operational initiatives
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and use of PivotTables
• Experience preparing reports and presenting findings to business leaders
