Catholic Mutual Group in Omaha, NE is seeking an Underwriting Manager to lead our multi-line underwriting function. You will evaluate new and renewal business, approve risk selection and pricing, and support growth and profitability in a collaborative, policy-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of property and casualty underwriting experience and prior supervisory responsibilities; CPCU or AU is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible property and casualty underwriting experience and managing a book of business.
• Three years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• CPCU and/or AU designation highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a leadership role.

• Evaluate complex risks and make informed underwriting decisions based on company guidelines.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and external service partners.

Position Overview

The Underwriting Manager provides leadership and oversight for Catholic Mutual Group's multi-line underwriting operations. This position is responsible for evaluating new and renewal business opportunities, approving risk selection and acceptance decisions, determining appropriate coverage and pricing, and supporting the continued growth and profitability of the organization. The ideal candidate brings extensive property and casualty underwriting experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external business partners.
