Job summary

Zurich North America invites students to join our Underwriting Internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced underwriting professionals, contribute to real projects, and support risk management strategies under mentorship.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Risk Management, Finance, Economics or Business, with at least two years of college coursework and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Hybrid remote work is available in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and will be enrolled in the Fall of 2027.
• Two or more years of college coursework (rising Junior or Senior).
• Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands-on training.
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools.
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities.
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings.
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry.
