Job summary

Allianz Commercial in Chicago offers a 10-week Summer Internship in Natural Resources & Construction Underwriting. The program combines on-the-job learning with a structured development plan, reporting to the Underwriting Manager.

Duties include data entry, Excel reporting, documentation, and creating templates. Ideal candidates are pursuing a relevant degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, possess basic office experience, and can work in a hybrid Chicago environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing university or college degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance or related discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Basic office related work experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to apply field of study learnings to the internship
• Knowledge of basic math skills with strong numerical aptitude
• Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and its business applications
• Eligibility to work in the US or Canada

Responsibilities

• Pull data from various sources and enter into Excel; run reports to analyze department performance.
• Scan and save file documentation into appropriate accounts.
• Create presentations detailing features, advantages and benefits of new products.
• Develop complex Word and Excel documents to be used as templates.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required
