Builders Mutual invites driven undergraduates to join a 10-week Underwriting Internship in Raleigh, NC, with hybrid onsite work and remote flexibility. You will learn risk selection, file documentation, and the underwriting process while engaging in team projects and executive-level presentations.

Participants gain hands-on exposure to insurance products, appetite, and business workflows, plus opportunities for mentorship, networking, and potential full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student pursuing Risk Management Insurance or Business, not graduating before Dec 2027 or after Dec 2028.
• Willing to work 10 weeks May 17–July 23, 2027.
• Ability to commute to Raleigh, NC.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Orientation & Capstone – kick off with a one-week orientation; present to executives.
• Training & Shadowing – exposure to claims and adjuster workflows.
• Intern Manager – receive coaching and guidance.
• New Grad opportunities – high-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles after graduation.
