Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in Richmond, VA is seeking high-potential undergraduates for a 10-week Summer Internship in our Excess & Surplus Underwriting team. You will support underwriting functions, work with assigned Underwriters, and contribute to a cross-functional team focused on corporate philanthropy.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program.
• Risk Management/Insurance, Business, or Data Analytics majors preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support various underwriting functions in partnership with assigned Underwriters and team.
• Assist with day-to-day underwriting transactions (quoting, endorsements, documentation, etc)
• Complete assigned tasked project for Professional Liability Department
• Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
