Job summary

Select ive Insurance in Allentown, PA invites college juniors or seniors to join its Ignite Internship program for Summer 2027. This 11-week, full-time experience offers a hands-on look into the insurance business and opportunities to work in your chosen area.

You'll complete on-the-job assignments, collaborate with teams, meet senior leaders, and participate in a community day, building relationships and skills that can lead to a full-time career with Selective.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter, able to take direction and follow instructions.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and perform under pressure.
• Must be able to multi-task successfully.
• Proficient PC skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
• Candidates should be working towards an applicable degree in their field of study preferred.
• Relevant classroom experience in Accounting, Actuary, Audit, Bonds, Claims, Finance, IT, Marketing and/or Underwriting preferred.
• Presentation skills and attention to detail a plus.
• Desire to work for Selective Insurance after graduation preferred.
