Job summary

CNA Financial is seeking an underwriter to manage risk across renewal and new business within delegated authority from Irvine, CA. You will collaborate with underwriters to gather necessary information for prudent decisions and support the underwriting lifecycle.

Responsibilities include handling endorsements, renewal triage, pricing rationales, and coordinating with producers and internal teams to resolve issues. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Typically a minimum of three years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty underwriting and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite risk for renewal and new business within delegated authority.
• Prepare quotes, endorsements, and documentation in line with guidelines.
• Collaborate with underwriters to support prudent decisions.
• triage renewal applications and outline changes for accounts outside authority.
• Maintain complete, compliant files with proposals, endorsements and cancellations.
• Explain pricing rationale and support pricing strategies under supervision.
• Serve as a point of contact to producers/customers for account matters.
• Assist marketing and field teams with product and service outreach.
• Stay current on line of business strategy and regulatory trends.
• Provide guidance and coaching to colleagues as needed.
• Liaise across CNA to resolve billing, risk control, and underwriting issues.
